Anxiety exacerbates Long COVID symptoms. I am currently flooded with anxiety. I am scheduled to have surgery on October 14 for a pre-existing female condition that it has taken 25 years to be taken seriously and receive appropriate treatment.
It is passed time for this surgery to happen, but I have Long COVID now which likely means my recovery will be longer and more difficult, but this pre-existing condition is likely one of the things that is exacerbating my Long COVID, but surgery, even minimally invasive, is traumatic for the body, but I may feel exponentially better for having had the surgery, but…but…but….
In the meantime, probably because of this anxiety, I am going through another period of debilitating fatigue — the kind where moving my arm to reach the water glass right next to me is too much effort — and my heart is working overtime — 95-110 beats per minute just to sit up.
